Microblading Gone WrongHorror Stories

One of the major complications that would occur when a person gets her eyebrows microbladed would be possible infections on the skin. The main reason for the infecting of the skin would be due to irritation or allergic reaction from getting the pigment.

When a person gets her eyebrow microbladed, it’s quite normal to experience some pain and discomfort during the procedure. You may feel a slight residual stinging afterward. What’s not normal is experiencing severe pain in the eyebrow area once you leave the technician’s office. When that happens, go back immediately and ask for help.

Pay careful attention to the microbladed area to see whether or not it becomes puffy or raised. If a yellow-tinged discharge or excessive redness occurs, it is possible that it’s a sign of an infection starting.

If the microbladed area swells, continue to scab after two weeks or begins leaking pus, immediately go to the doctor. An infection in the eyebrow especially concerns if it reaches your bloodstream since the area is so close to your eyes and brain. Prompt treatment with antibiotics is needed if you get an infection from microblading.

For people who are pregnant, prone to keloids, or have had an organ transplant, they should not get their eyebrows microbladed. You should also be cautious if you have a compromised liver or a viral condition such as hepatitis as this can trigger a grave reaction of your body after the microblading procedure.

Keep in mind that the most important thing you can do to prevent a microblading infection is to make sure to do your research on your technician. Not all states require microblading technicians to have a license; in doing so, you wouldn’t be able to identify whether or not the technician knows what he/she is doing. Ask if they are licensed and if they say yes, view their license. If they’re not licensed, ask if you can see their occupational license or inspection from the health department. Any presence of these would make them more likely to be a legitimate provider of microblading services.

The microblading tools used during the procedure should always be a one-time use, the technician should never, I repeat, never reuse these tools as they may contribute to spreading illnesses. To avoid the spread of diseases, microblading artists make use of disposable tools, and they dispose of them immediately after the procedure. If you don’t see your technician open a new tool to use on your procedure when it’s time for your appointment, feel free to stand up and leave.

Microblading is generally considered to be as safe as other forms of tattooing. Nevertheless, little medical research or clinical studies are publicly present to back this up so make sure that everything is in order and that you won’t have any complications when getting your eyebrows microbladed.

Make sure your technician is licensed and make sure that you are physiologically fit to take the microblading process, your safety is of utmost priority, and the microblading artist should make use of microblading disposable tools.
